Teeth Cleaning

We conduct professional grade cleanings. We start by removing the plaque and tartar buildup around the teeth and gum line. Then, once your teeth are completely tartar free, the hygienist will typically brush your teeth with a high- powered electric toothbrush. We use toothpaste that smells and tastes like regular toothpaste, but has a gritty consistency that gently scrubs your teeth.

Next, the hygienist will floss and get deep between your teeth and locate any potential trouble spots where you might bleed at the gums. Then you’ll rinse your mouth to get rid of any debris.

The last step of a teeth cleaning process is a fluoride treatment. This type of treatment is used as a protectant for your teeth to help fight against cavities for several months. Your hygienist will probably ask you what flavor you like best adn then place the foamy gel or sticky paste into a mouth piece that fits over your teeth. It’s usually left on your teeth for one minute. Fluoride varnish is also painted on the teeth with a small brush, which will harden in contact with saliva, so you can eat and drink immediately after.
